Problems using XDCC behind a router.

Postby aaronsoup » Fri Mar 12, 2004 3:56 am

Hola.....

I'm Trying to receive a file over the IRC network on xdcc...

I've never had any problems before, but i have recently moved into a shared apartment and all our internet is shared, therefore i'm now behind a router... Since I started using the router the xdcc send/receive has not worked, and if i remember correctly i don't think i've ever been able to send/receive on msn messenger (odd considering my webcam works on it).

I've tried tinkering about with a lot of the settings on the router, but dont really know what i'm doing and i think i'm probably doing more harm than good...

Any idea how to solve the xdcc problem???

I was told to open more ports but I haven't found a setting that lets me block or open any ports, or any indication that ports are being blocked....

Please Help,

Aaron

What kind of a router is it? And yes, it is a port problem.

It's a zoomx4....

it's a modem & router in 1....

Using a Intel Business 4 way hub to connect multiple pc's... but i doubt that matters...
