explorer.exe repeatedly 'crashing'
Sorry my first post is a problem not a solution ;)
I'm Running WinXP Home on a fairly new system, I don't think hardware specs are needed for this problem though.
My explorer.exe is crashing as soon as it starts, this begins after logging in. After I get the "Windows Explorer has encountered a problem... blah blah" message explorer closes and seems to be attempting to restart, but gives the same error report about 2 seconds later. This repeats indefinately and I had to start internet explorer through task manager just to post this. I ran Norton Antivirus through task manager, updated my defininitions and scanned my HD, it reported 5 files and "fixed" them all. But after restarting I still have the same problem. Could something I got off the web be causing this? as this problem came on very suddently when I was browsing the web.
