XP Logon Message

Postby tidalik » Wed Mar 31, 2004 3:46 am

Hi guys,

Just a simple question. I recently installed windows XP for a friend. He is now receiving a Logon Message that i have never seen before in my usage of this OS.

Logon Message: Your password will expire in x days. Do you want to change it?

I presume this has something to do with his user account, but upon having a look at the options available to alter the user account via the control panel i could find nothing concerning this. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

:)

Go to the Control Panel Administrative Tools/Computer Management (Local)/Local User and Groups/User. Double click on the account that has the problem. Under the General tab you can select to have the password to never expire if you desire.
