Upgrade to 2000 from 98SE

Postby jemmo » Fri Apr 09, 2004 8:05 pm

I want to upgrade to W2000 and am running W98Se at the moment. I have been told I have to upgrade to ME firdt, and then again to 2000. Is this correct or can I upgrade straight to 2000?

On another note, I have two 256 Mb RAM boards in my machine, but only one of them is being recognised. I am wondering whether I have a dodgy slot on the motherboard. Does it matter which slots the RAM is fitted? If thfitting the RAM in other slots does not solve the problem, does anyone know what may cause this anomaly and what I need to do to get all of my RAM recognised?

Cheers
