Trojan damage to .DLL's

Postby Josiah21 » Sun May 30, 2004 4:04 am

Hey guys, I was recently infected with the download.trojan virus and it damaged some of the dll's in my System32 folder. Whenever I boot I get errors about the following DLL's which I found in "Backup items" in Norton Antivirus, and I have not the slightest idea what to do!!! Should I delete them? I also found that the rundll32 command runs twice for these files in my startup folder....

BA949344.DLL
IE758E49.DLL
li508e47.dll
rd[1]
REFE744F.DLL

Completely baffled,
Josh

I ran the scan and found no viruses, and the errors are still there...

Those are all files that come attached to a Trojan.
Download and install: (Create a Folder for HiJackThis anywhere but your Temp/Temporary Internet Folders.) . Now Run it and post a copy of the Log File here.

Press Ctrl/Alt/Del and "End Task" or "End Process" on each of the following: (They may or may not be there)

svcwinhost.exe
mwsoemon.exe

Turn off System Restore. (Turn it back on after this is repaired and you've rebooted.) Close all other open Windows and have HiJackThis Fix:
