hey i had a home network set up running the net on 3 computers i formatted one of them now when i put the net on the network like before each computer doesnt really work on the net.
When we try go on the net it says at the bottom conneting to some numbers like 214. etc and sometimes works after a while or doesnt at all. If we do get on it acts like we are disconeted after a while which shoudnt happen on DSL

A while ago i got somthing saying ip conflict checked ips on each and all where differant the intent works fine with one connection to the modem but with the hub in it wont work on any of them proply.

Its really getting on my nerves and only has been since i formatted one computer and that computer works hardly at all on the net now

Can anyone help

sam

What kind of setup do you have? (Router/Access Point/Wireless/ICS)
What Operating Systems are they?

Have you tried rebooting the Hub?
What about ipconfig /release and ipconfig /renew on the other three Computers?

Did you format the computer that is directly connected to the modem, or one of the others?

Do all the PC's have Windows XP on them? Is this the home or Pro version? How many ports does the modem/router have on it? If it has enough ports make sure you don't plug the hub into port number 1.

You are now saying that the modem is plugged into the hub? Let's just get some things straight here! Is the modem a modem & router in one or just a modem? Is it connected directly to the hub, or to one of the computers?
