Virus???

Postby Selecta » Mon Jun 07, 2004 6:58 pm

Can someone help me with this.

From last night, my computer has been constantly transmitting data somewhere (dont know where). From doing a search on files and folders accessed last night, it seems half of my hard drive has been accessed, even though yesterday the only thing i did was go onto the internet. Its transmitted at the full connection speed and when my firewall tries to stop it, it continues to attempt to transmit but is blocked. Its taken me almost half an hour to load this forum as this page has had to compete with this transmittion which takes up my entire connection speed. There is one file that keeps loading itself and doesn't allow me to shut it down:

SCRGRD.EXE

This is the file that is transmitting the information. After finally getting the bloody thing to shut down, it now seems Iexplore.exe is transmitting to the same place at the same speed making it impossible to block as it also blocks the rest of the internet.

I have blocked this for 2hours now while ive been trying to get it sorted and the computer icons at the bottom are constantly on and so is the icon for the firewall blocking outgoing information.

Please help

Download and run HiJackThis...

http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/HijackThis.exe

Create it's own Folder ,say in MyDocuments, call it HJT

Shut everything down, including this window, run HJT,save the HJT log file to that folder.
Open the log file with notepad, copy the whole contents and paste it back here.
