Scan what?

Ever since I installed my new hard drive Ive not once seen my PC run Scan Disk after a system crash. When I had my old hard drive it ran everytime I had to reset my PC or there was a sytem crash. Anyone kno w why this is?

Um... Because WinXp doesn't have ScanDisk. It has chkdsk.exe
If you want to use it: Start / Run / Type chkdsk.exe

Im confused. Does that run just before Windows loads,have a blue screen and asks 'do you want you disks scan,as they maybe damaged.Press a key if you don't?' (Or something like that)
