Speech Recognition Question

Postby Phalcon51 » Mon Jul 05, 2004 7:17 pm

I'm using a program called Shoot () to substitute voice commands for keyboard input in a couple of flight sims (IL2 and CFS3). It utilizes XP's voice recognition capabilities, which does a fairly good job of translating accurately. However, there are a few voice commands that it just doesn't get right. I've done all the training of the system that MS provides, but I'm wondering if there's a way to train it specifically on the voice commands I'm using. In the Speech Recognition profile training in Control Panel/Speech there are selections that you read aloud and the text is highlited when the system matches your voice with the words it recognizes. Is there a way for me to create a file that can be used in the SR training program that utilizes my words the same way, where the system will highlight what it hears and recognizes? Also, is there any way to correct the system when it gets it wrong and teach it the right voice command/word pattern recognition? I'm using Office/Word 2000 rather than Office XP, which I know supports Speech Recognition. Do I need to upgrade Word to do this?

Thanks for any help

Thanks
