Sounds like you might have the Sasser virus on your PC.

Sounds like a heat issue.
Make sure there's no dust in the case and that all fans are running.

Hi Sue27 Image

If you haven't scanned you computer for viruses lately Update your virus definitions and scan your computer.
You can try this free online scanner using

Also do as Cactus suggested, open your case and use some canned air and blow out the dust bunnies, if your fans are all clogged up with dust this can cause the pc to overheat thus rebooting. Sporadic behavior or self-booting could also be a sign of a bad power supply.

Let us know if you found any viruses,Trojans and if your still sporadically rebooting.

if the virus and heat issues don't seem to apply, you could always remove the extra stick of ram you installed and see if the problem goes away.
