Hey...liljim's not gonna hunt me down for helping you is he... :|

Could be a few different reasons.
Check inside the case for Dust Bunnies, make sure ALL the fans are moving and the PSU is operating.

If ALL that is ok...make sure the Memory stiks are all seated properly.

If all that fails....we'll check for virus's...

Download Hijackthis
---Important---Create a permanent folder
EG---- Open MyDocuments----Right click an empty spot and select NEW---Folder----Name the new folder HJT ---this is where you will want to save Hijackthis too, also, backups will be stored there.
Download from here

http://aumha.org/downloads/hijackthis.exe

Do a SCAN----Scan will change to SAVE LOG----copy and paste the WHOLE contents of the log
here... Don't try and fix anything yet----most entries are harmless and needed.

Stuff like this has a tendency to be hardware related. Cactus had a good idea. Take the RAM sticks out and then put them back in. If not, you could have a bad CPU. Without another to put in its place, its hard to determine. There is a program out there that you can boot from a floppy with to check things like this. I'll see if I can find it later and post it.

I think it's a faulty Ram, try removing Ram one by one and switch the pc on again. I had this problem too.

I know you have trouble keeping your system running but you d/l an older version of HJT.
If possible please Download the newer version of and post a new logfile in here.
