Admin User Account - gone missing!

I seem to have lost my Admin account!

On both the Login screen and the 'User Accounts' option in Control Panel it only lists the individual user accounts. There is no sign of the Admin one.

Is this normal?
How do I get access to it?

Usually the administrator account is hidden from users.It should be visible when you boot into safe mode.
