Delay in starting sound service

Postby patkim » Tue Dec 14, 2004 5:54 pm

Recently I re-installed Win XP Prof. And I have been observing that now the sound service takes at least 2 – 3 minutes to start. I.e. the windows logon sound and the tray speaker icon takes about 2 – 3 minutes to display and during this time PC appears to be hung. Just not getting what could have been causing this.
Thanks..

Not the latest..but drivers that were available on CD that came with the Mobo as it's on board sound. Will try installing the latest abd see if that works. Thanks.
