Hi...The clock on my PC keeps changing by itself!...sometimes it sets itself a day in advance sometimes it goes two days forward by itself.Anyone know what causes this?...Could it be the battery?...the computer is only 3 months old so I tend to rule out the battery theory.
Any help would be greatly appreciated...Colin win xp home.

First I'd check to make sure it's set to the right time zone.
Next, I'd try turning off the computer, then when you turn it back on enter the bios (where it flashes the computer company's logo on startup). If the BIOS reports the time/date incorrectly, then it's likely that you have a dead CMOS battery.
If it shows the incorrect time, reset it.
If it shows the correct time, try disabling the Internet Time. To do this, go into the Date & Time Control Panel, click the "Internet Time" tab and uncheck "Automatically synchronize with an internet time server", then say ok and see if that helps.
