It sounds like you may have the wrong drivers for your sound all together. Is it onboard or is it an actual sound card? Do you know exactly what sound card you have?

ok i had the wrong drivers for the sound card, but i got all that worked out now. the only main problems im having now is that my hotmail wont open, ive lowered my net settings downloaded java, tried to unlock some type of port on my netgear router, i dont know what to do cause i still cant check my email.

help please
