Icons disrupted using external drive

Postby gooner1 » Sat Nov 26, 2005 1:31 pm

Hi Folks.
I am using XP SP2. My problem is whehever i switch my External H/D on and off i lose my Icon config in my Docs or wherever..?
Example...I switch on H/D to use for media etc. Switch off and go into my Docs for a Tool or otherwise and the View has changed from Icons to Tiles..???? Does anyone know why it does this as it does'nt do it with any other operation. just my External H/D. Lacie.

Thank you.

Mark.

Try opeining up My Computer and select View. Set the icons you want.

Now go to Tools-->Folder Options and click on the "View" folder

Up at the top on Folder View You will see "set all folders to same view" Click on "Like Currrent."

That should make them all the same.
