My 'msconfig' is missing

help me... my 'msconfig' is missing, i dont y it could be missing. how to get it back? this is the msg came out when i key in msconfig on run command.... "windows cannot find 'msconfig'. make sure you types the name correctly and then try again".

Look for msconfig.exe in this directory:
C:\Windows\PCHealth\HelpCtr\Binaries

If it's not there, look here:
C:\Windows\PCHealth

Can you find it in one of those two directories?

ok i found it.. but how to make it available in run command?

Go to start>run and type in regedit and hit enter.

Navigate to this key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\AppPaths\MSCONFIG.EXE

In the right pane, right click "default" and go to Modify. Change the path to the directory that you found msconfig.exe in, for example C:\WINDOWS\PCHealth\HelpCtr\Binaries\MSConfig.exe then click Ok.

That should do it for ya.

i`m not found any 'msconfig.exe' on that path, is that possible to make the path available?

Are you sure you followed the instructions exactly? I know it's easy to make a mistake while looking through your registry. MSCONFIG.EXE should be under that path.

If it's not there, right click on the AppPaths folder and go to new>key and name it MSCONFIG.EXE

Select the folder, then on the right hand side right click on "default" and click Modify, then set the path under Value Data.

i`m orady try to make folder under AppPath called msconfig.exe, and set the value data in the default key. but its still cant run from 'run'.

Running the system file checker might fix it

pop in your windows disk
Start>Run>type in sfc /scannow > click ok
