Hey guys, a propper post for once :D

Ok, Alan Wake will be out in the near future, and considering i have plenty of HDD space, i was considering getting a copy of Vista to play it on. But as a second boot.
Is this easy to do? How do you install an OS as a dual boot?
It wont cost me much :D

Thanks, hope your all doing well.

Edit: i found this guide, seem correct?
http://www.apcstart.com/5023/dual_booting_xp_with_vista

is this going to be fine to do, or is there an easier way?

Soz another edit:
http://teamtutorials.com/windows-tutori ... sta-and-xp
That seems perfect for me?
What is better in your opinion, a dual boot on the same drive with a second partition (option is available, i have the space) or on the second drive?

Also, Vista will be 64bit i think, so i will probally buy another 2 gig of ram ;)

venney,

I have dual booted many different OS's, trust me your are much better off with two separate drives.

I like this idea best
That way you don't even have to dual boot, I have one system set up this way, lynx on one drive and Mac OS X on another drive.

Hey gecko, hope your doing well. Thanks for the advice, i will install on a seperate drive to xp.
I found out that alan wake still has no release date :( (i did a lot of reading that night !), so i am gonna wait a bit longer until i get vista. By which time i will have a 3rd hard drive (or even 4th if i can aford it), so Vista will easily go on a second drive :)
