batrico,

I really don't see anything bad in your log that would cause this problem.

Please download to your desktop.

Double click combofix.exe and follow the prompts.

Do not exit Combofix while it is running you my loose all your personal settings!
Important Note - Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it's running, that may cause it to stall.

When it's done running it will produce a log for you. Please post that log in your next reply.

The CPU usage going to 100 percent and then the problem goes away could indicate a heat issue check the CPU fan and the P/S fan.

Havent had a problem since. It hasnt happened once since i last posted.I have got rid of avg and avg toolbar(which i heard slows pc down anyway), now using avast av.So maybe that helped or maybe i was just too quick to jump the gun.

Only just found this post and thought I'd comment that I have this happen to me every so often. I think it's a bug in firefox related to flash apps. it happens most when I go to www.gamespot.com since the homepage is littered with flash objects. The CPU usage will slowly climb to 100% as firefox gets less and less responsive. Closing that tab (ive always got multiple tabs on the go) will cause CPU usage to plummet back to 0% (or close to). open gamespot again, and it doesnt happen the second time...

I'd blame firefox and/or the website you're on, and resolve it by closing only the tab that is causing it then using 'undo close tab' to carry on where you left off.
