No Dual Boot showing

Postby Torquay-Pete » Thu Nov 20, 2008 4:14 pm

Hi everyone long time no visit eh!!
I have just installed XP Home on my D drive as a backup as the XP on my main C drive is threatening to crash anyday soon , so I thaught I would do a fresh install to save all my programs and files onto.
So far so good XP installed and activated on the D drive. The only thing is I dont have the option at Boot up to choose which OS to use?
I have a CD called Fix NTLDR which has about 10 different options to choose from 1 of these usually will boot up the C drive otherwise I get the new install as default. I think that the Boot Ini needs editing but I dont want to screw things up even more until I can back up everything first. Below is a copy of my Boot Ini

[boot loader]
timeout=15
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(1)partition(1)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(1)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect

Hope someone out there can sort this out for me.
Thanks in advance as always Pete
