Sounds like you have a driver problem. Does Win-Update list any driver updates? If not, try going to the manufacturer and getting the newest one.

Other than that make sure you have no conflicts in the device manager (right click MY COMPUTER, MANAGE, DEVICE MANAGER)

And check out the display control pannel (right click a blank area on your desktop, PROPERTIES, SETTINGS) Don't be afraid to checkout the Advanced button - actually looking in the advanced screen, adapter button there is a list all modes function. Also make sure your monitor is detected as something that can do a reasonable resolution

:twisted: no conflicts on display, under list modes 600by800 is the highest res but its only in 16 colors,monitor is detected as a plug and play monitor. is there any way to add any res modes tried to choose show all modes but its greyed out so i cant .also has any tried the new nividia drivers?
