I've lost contact with router!
Posted: Thu Jan 07, 2010 8:31 pmMade a big mistake by running Driver Genius and letting it update some of the drivers on my PC.
When I'd finished, it could no longer connect to the internet. I've since found out that it cannot even see the router even though it is plugged directly into it! If I Ping 192.168.0.1 it fails to communicate.
So, something has knackered my network connection.
I restored all drivers from the backup it took before updating, but, still no network.
It is a desktop running XP and the router in a Netgear 834. Other PC's/laptops are still working fine.
Can anyone suggest where I can start looking for the problem, please?
