Intel graphics 82801 upgrade?

Postby MinorityReport » Tue May 27, 2003 12:03 pm

Hi,
I have a P3 750 mhz, 316mb ram, but the graphics card is an intergrated intel 82801, so my pc struggles to run any newish games at all. So would upgrading the graphics card make a difference? If so what do you reccomend for under a £100? And also i have heard when upgrading a pc with an intel intregrated graphics card you have to disable the intel card, is this true? if so how do you do it?

Thanks for your help,
Phil

I'm not sure how UK money equates to US dollars. I do know that $100 is not a lot of money for a graphics card. I do however reccommend getting a GeForce 4 4400 or 4600 card. They are inexpensive and perform well. Disabling the onboard video is a simple process. If you need help doing this we would be glad to assist.
