PC Restarts for no reason!!!!

I need some serious help. I bought a pc, and after about 2 months it started to restart on it's own while doing some things. I've been having this problem for a while now and I can't figure out what it is. The problem began to occur after I formatted my harddrive. It restarts while playing some games such as Duke Nukem Manhatten Project, and while using emulators such as Visualboy Advance. It also restarts while burning cds and while listening to music. I am really stumped on what the problem can be. I've tried many things already to see if I could fix it. I bought some extra ram, I made more virtual memory, I put a new pc fan on it, I bought a new gfx card. I also thought it was an overheating problem but I put a fan next to it to keep it cool. If you guys can help then I would really appreciate it. Here are my system specs just in case it's needed:

AMD Athlon XP 1200
GeForce FX 5200 128mb
Sound Blaster 16 pci
512mb ram
Windows 2k
40 gig maxtor hd

it might still be a airflow issue inside your case. Try taking off the door, running a household big fan directly at your case and run for a day or two to see if you crash less often/not at all.

See if this will help you Microsoft Knowledge Base article Q320299. Right click My Computer, click advance tab, click settings under Startup and Recovery. Under system Failure if the automatic restart box is checked uncheck it.

I tried your idea squid, but It just caused my windows not to boot up, so I had to install a fresh copy on my hard drive in order for me to keep my files. I then tried taking off the door, and I was able to finally play a full game of Killer Instinct 2 without my pc restarting. I guess it was an airflow problem. What would you recommend for me to do about this?
