what is a thoroughbred and what is a barton? then answer to that question i cannot help. but the only difference from oem and retail is that the retail you get it in a nice box. thats the only difference.

The only differance between a 2800 athlon xp thoroughbred and a 2800 athlon xp barton is that the thoroughbred has a 256KB L2 Cache and the barton has a 512KB L2 Cache
