needs help with vid card, color problem

i just put in a old video card i took out of an old computer, i put it in so i could use two monitors, i dident need anything fancy for the second monitor so i diddent mind using an old one. I have it in and it is set for 32bit color, when i first boot up my computer it will be at 32 bit color just like my other monitor witch is hooked up to my other video card, but about 10 seconds after windows loads up in goes into black and white. When i first put it on (before the first time my computer was turned of since i put the card in) it stayed in 32 bit the whole time untill i turned it off, now it just goes into black and white after 10 seconds or so. nething i can do to fix this?

a couple things to try...

look for bent pins on the connector
try different video card drivers
change the monitor driver to something under the "generic" listing (i think this can be done under Display (control pannel) - Settings tab - advanced button.
