Wireless Networking with Centrino

Postby ncfcstar » Wed Dec 22, 2004 4:01 pm

Hi, I wasn't sure if this should go here but.....

I am getting a laptop after Christmas, it will have Centrino. I want to set up a wireless network with my PC and share its broadband internet connection.

What exactly do I need to do this?

By the way, both my PC and Laptop have Windows XP

Thanks!

You will need a wireless router. Most of them have a built in switch for your desktop machine or you can get a wireless pci card to put in it.

My own configuration is my desktop to my router through cat5 cable then wireless to 2 notebooks.Works great for file and internet sharing.
