Problem With opening ports

Postby chuparon » Tue May 03, 2005 10:59 pm

** Sorry just found I accidently posted in wrong section **

-= INFORMATION =-
Router: Linksys WRT54G router
FIREWALL: Zone Alarm

Ok, I set up apache on my computer, and it works perfectly.

I then registered a DNS service, but for that I need to open up port 80 on my router.

I went about this by going to RUN > CMD > IPCONFIG to get the adress assigned to my computer. and the address was "xxx.xxx.x.102"

so i then go to my router config and do the following.

I then went to the following web address provided by my DNS to see if my port is really open, and it sias it's not, and I cannot to my website anywhere but my computer.

** For protocals, I've also tried using "UDP" and "BOTH" still not working **
any help would be appritiated

I'm not sure why you are running a firewall and a router. Most routers act as a firewall. Try disabling the ZA and see what happens. If not, it will involve adding a load of trusted IPs to ZA.
