Battery back ups??

Postby Junior_co » Fri Sep 23, 2005 6:57 am

Does anyone have a suggestion as to which battery back up to use or not to use....

Also do these tend to be one shot deals?

I have one that has bailed us out of one power outage, but we had a couple minute outage the other day, and it did nothing for us.....

Any thoughts on this would be appreciated...

Good on ya

I dont use a UPS at home, but I do use them at work. The object of a UPS is simply to give you enough time to shut the PC down properly.

I have known people who used APC brand. One place I worked even used APC for the network closets as well. They see to work well and they have a cable you can hook up to your PC that will alert you when you need to buy a new battery for it.

Hope this helps.
