Graphics memory speed

Postby Kzz5 » Wed Oct 05, 2005 3:14 pm

i decided to just get another agp graphics card, instead of buying a new motherboard to get a pci express, anways, i got the x800 xt all in wonder , on newegg it says that the memory speed is 1000mhz, but its set right now to 500 core and 500 memory, so does this mean i can clock it to 1000mhz with no problem? i am using the ati tool to look at that sort of stuff, and also what is a good tempature for a graphics card, i had a 9800 pro before this but never looked at temp, my cpu runs around 35 c and the card idles at like 45 c, ive seen it up at 75 during battlefield 2, i dunno i just want it to perform really well without it burning out or something :)

:?: Your Vid card has 500 mhz core And 500 mhz memory but remember that mem is 500X2 which=1000 MHZ.
If you try to go futher then it is you may fry your card.
