my cd burner worked fine, then i upgraded from nero 6 to nero 7. every since i did that ever cd burns only a couple songs then errors, or freezes at 75%. i thought this was just a problem with nero, but the same thing happens when i try to use windows media player to burn my cd.

Did you try uninstalling Nero and then using WMP? I've had nothing but problems with Nero.

After looking through the support forums at Nero it seems that you are not the only one having this problem.
There is an update to Nero 7 that might help:
Also uninstalling Nero and then reinstalling it helped some users.

There are two issues you might look into.

Did you install INCD for the rewriteable cd's? That program still has issues. To be fair, its really not the program itself (my opinion) but its interaction with other installed software.

The second issue involves trojans and spyware, they can mess up cd burners, you might want to post a hijack log file to the hijack forum.

Hope this is of some help.
