Mouse trouble

Postby venney » Sun Dec 18, 2005 3:53 pm

I wasn’t sure where to put this but here shall do.

I have a real pain of a problem with my mouse. When I lift my muse up, the cursor moves to the rite. So when it’s not on anything it will move to the rite. So if I’m in a game and i lift my mouse up the screen moves, it’s really annoying.

I have tried resetting the mouse (with the reset button on there) and I’ve tried taking the moue out of the back and putting it back in. Also, I’ve tried to make sure there’s not dust on the mouse, doesn’t seem like there is any.

It’s basically an old version of this

A cordless optical mouse I believe.

Any help on how to solve this would be great.

Have you tried ?

Maybe you side scroll is stuck on the right?

It could also be interference from some other wireless device
Try moving the receiver at least 8 inches away from other electrical devices.

Hey Gecko mate, somehow I knew it would be you who tries to help lol.
Thanks for the help, I have updated the drivers and i now have allot more options for my mouse and keyboard which is good, because the buttons on my keyboard never really worked before.

But I’m still having the problem. My scroll button only goes up and down, its not one that goes left and rite. Do you know what I mean with my problem, its as if I am moving the mouse to the rite but its not touching anything, when the mouse is flat on the surface it works fine. Also, I never had this problem before, it’s only a recent thing, and I can’t think of any software that would have affected my mouse.

Thanks for your help though mate.
