AGP Port Testing

Postby Un4g1v3n » Sun Jun 04, 2006 5:57 pm

Is there a program that can tell me if my AGP port is working properly, or at all, without a card being inserted into it?

I want to go out and buy a new Video Card. for those of you who read my ATI Radeon 9600SE thread, you'll know why.

I'm still not sure if it was the card or the port itself to stop working. I want to get a 256mb card for about $175 after taxes, but I don't wanna get it if my port doesn't work.

So again, is there a program that will show me if my AGP port is working without having an AGP card in it?

No

There is no way to test an open slot, all the circuits are open (not connected).

That sucks, hmm?

I guess I'll buy the card and if it doesn't work, I'll bring it back. I'll do a fresh Windows XP install. I just want this to work.
