Hard drive types and compatability

Postby JCglobal657 » Sun Oct 07, 2007 4:06 pm

I have a gateway 700, almost 5 years old. I want to add a second internal hard drive. Does it matter if I buy a sata, IDE, or any of the other acronyms?
Thanks in advance for your insight.

It looks like sata to me assuming I have the right model number 700gr.
