Schematic for case fan with LEDs?

Postby SpankyTheElf » Tue Nov 24, 2009 6:15 pm

My case fans don't have a switch to turn off the LEDs, so for my electrical engineering class, I'm making a switch. I've looked around the internet for a while and haven't found a schematic for the case fans yet. I was wondering if you guys and girls could help out.

Those are the two fans I have on my computer

"Four LEDs are built into the frame of the fan"

I expect there's a red and black cable running around the frame to the LEDs, so you'll just need to get a switch in the appropriate place.

If they're in your case though, then just unscrew them and take a look. What more could you need??
