I installed a modem that would only install to com 3 and the only way I could get it to work was to configure my onboard parallel port to be com 3 which is lpt1 now I want to install my printer how do i or can i make the printer work. it is plugged into the printer port on the back of the comp. is there a way to configure that port so the printer will work. thnx

You seem to be a little confused - com3 refers to your serial port, your parallel port can never be 'com 3'. Did you mean IRQ 3?
