CPU HEAT!!!!!!!!!

All computer hardware support

FYI

1667MHz Thorton (Model 10) 266FSB (133.3 x 12.5), 256K cache, 1.6V, 90ºC Max Die Temp

By 2015 CPU dies will push out the same heat as an eqaul area of jet engine unless there is a radical materials leap or an architectural change.

That’s is very interesting to know, thanks for the info. By the way, I applied the thermal paste, and when I booted up my PC the temperature started to go DOWN! Now the idle temp is 41.5-43.5°C (Was 47-48° C) and when I play games it goes up to only 55-57°C compared to the 65-72° C, which is wonderful. Something very odd I saw when getting ride of the old material they used was the amount of material they put on. AMD said no thicker then a dime, and the thickness they had was about 1/16 of a dime's thickness. The amount they used was too small; that I was almost saying to my self how wonder… Now the temperature is more stable and is a lot more relaxing to see. Still I would like it maybe 2-4°C lower, but at least I got it down this far. Thanks for the help/info, peace.

IMHO The thicker the thermal transfer layer the more of an insulating effect you will create. Maybe therm-tape has some characteristics I'm unaware of?
