AGP?

Postby Skyline_GT-R » Sun Feb 22, 2004 8:28 pm

Hi all!

This isnt a problem as such but...

Erm well i play online games a bit, but my computer was not built for gaming. The specs are P4 2GHZ 256MB PC266 DDR RAM and a integrated Intel Extreme 64mb. I want to be able to play Joint Operations (the new delta force game?) And i know the processor can cope, i may have to upgrade the RAM but thats not essential, but the thing i most want to know about are the graphics. Because its only Intergrated graphics, im obviously limited with what i can do with the m'board, but the prices I have found for new graphics cards on the internet....well....it would be stupid not to! Well the thing is, as the graphics are integrated, would there be an AGP slot? I lost the manual for the board, so Im not sure if it has it or not. AGP is a little brown slot isnt it? (On the main motherboard that is).....also, is there any way of telling if it's AGP 4x or 8x, simply by looking at it? or is there some kind of diagnostic tool i can use to find out? I really would like to know which it is, as my computer's power is being wasted at the moment, with running BHD with all options on low is annoying.

Any feedback would be much appreciated. Im sorry I couldnt give you the make/model number of my board, but i should be able to see if it is AGP visually. Thanks all...

when your pc boots up you will see a long number across the bottom of the screen this is your motherboard identification number , copy it and put in google then find out about the board on a motherboard forum
