Boot problems.
A friend of mine was on his computer when lightning struck nearby causing a power surge. He brought his computer to a shop who told him his Motherboard and Power supply had been fried as a result. We ordered replacement parts (exact replacements) and changed them out. When the tower is turned on all of the fans etc come on, and you can hear the hard drive start booting up, but nothing will show up on the screen. I tried the hard drive in another computer and it started booting windows vista as normal, then restarted saying something about it could possibly be due to recent hardware changes. I figured it was just because it wasn't the original PC. When I tried to boot up in the original tower again, it still gives me nothing other then fans and the sound of the hard drive. Could the CPU have been damaged in the surge as well and be causing this? Or maybe the Ram? Any help would be greatly appreciated, and thanks in advance.
