DDR2 1066 Mhz to 667 Mhz???

Hi, new here and have a question hope someone would have the answer bec. i search the internet but don't have a decent answer....

I'm will be upgrading my CPU Ram, now i did found some cheap DDr2 2 pcs. 1 GB 1066 Mhz ram but my board says it supports 667/533 Mhz DDr2... will this ram work on my board with out any problems? i had 2 pcs 512 Mb 667 MHz ram install now..

no it probably wont work, if it does it wont work well. Stick to what your board is capable of running and dont buy cheap generic ram. Crucial, Kingston, Mushkin, Patriot are all decent brands. Cheap ram usually has crappy memory banks and extremely poor life and performance. They also tend to have compatibility problems.

Let me add that you need to find out if your motherboard will support the higher RAM per stick.
Some motherboards are limited to 512 per slot, in my experience most often lower end Brand systems.
