One video card Vs two Video cards

Im thinking of building a pc with one or two video cards but im not sure

like getting two lower video card or getting i High end video card and only get one

what would give me the better FPS im not sure

i personally prefer 1 good card over 2 medium cards. 1 good card will run anything you want while producing less heat and drawing less power thus saving your power supply and light bill.
