hi everyone

I m new on here although I am not a newbie to pcs, need to make sure about my graphic card before I go buy a new one.

Ok, I wasnt usin my computer for a while so my screen turned off - power saving - I then moved a mouse so the screen would turn on - and instead, the whole computer shut down:/ Ithought my power supply failed as the computer didnt want to get turned on until I disconected PS , then, it turns on but I am gettin this on my screen right after the boot up starts:

that picture changes a little after a while into different ornaments but the same thing remains... I checked my monitor screen on my laptop but its intact.

I presume my graphic card needs replacing?

btw its Gigabyte gt430
thank you

It sure looks like your video card is bad to me, however I would try booting into safe mode just to confirm that it's not bad or corrupt video drivers.

Besides checking the video card, I would suggest we check the RAM as well.

Also check both the video card and RAM slots.

Hope this helps,
