I am having an issue where the screen will show distortion, wavery/flickering/distorion and sometimes will flash to a black screen then back to whatever I am doing(mostly gaming) and sometimes will stay black so I have to power it off and reboot.I am able to use the desktop as it does not make anything unreadable. I am using a gtx560TI almost new and a Hanns-G 26" monitor. I have tried first replacing the card with my 9800gt,s in SLI and when problem persisted I tried a different Monitor and still had the same issue. I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction to fix this issue.
I have checked my Realtemp log and temps never exceed 48 degree,s C.

forgot to mention that am using a HD cable to monitor but also tried the stock cable that came with card also.

You have already done the things that I would have suggested, try a different video card, cable, monitor and check for overheating.
The only other things I could suggest are checking the RAM and try replacing the power supply with a known good one.

Have you checked your event viewer to see if there are any notices relating to your issue?

Go to Start > Control panel > Administrative tools > Event viewer > look in the system section.

You are looking for any red or yellow icons, double click on the icon.
Click inside the 'Description' section then highlight the text and copy and paste it into notepad.
At the bottom of the event window check 'words' and then copy and paste that text also
Then past it all into your reply to this thread.

If you don't show any errors in the event viewer then:
Go to Start > Control Panel > System > Advanced tab > Startup and Recovery section
Settings button > System Failure section > check the box 'Write an event to the system log'

just a quick reply with thanks for the response. Haave tried 2 different monitors and 2 different video cards, have tried different cables and ran memtest86 overnite and it showed no errors. As for the event log it is set to write events and will get back to you on errors and warnings it shows.

I put my hand against the monitor screen and it was very hot to the touch so I took the back off of it to blow it out and it looked clean som I just left the back off of it to give it more ventilation and so far the issue has not reacured, I will repost if the problem comes back. Thanks again for the reply.

This seems weird though, you have tried 2 monitors, so both monitor must have heated up and causing the issue.
Then what causing the monitors to work with extra heats?
Is that the faulty cables, PSU or RAM or any other parts of the mobo?

I believed worth to check more or the monitor soon will get faulty again.
Hope this helps.
