the option for USB might be disabled in the computer's bios settings. You can browse around the settings by hitting [del] for most comptuers. If you can't find the specific option, just use the Set Optimal Defaults option (which will set the motherboard to factory settings)

almost every bios I've ever seen has a clear bios header (sometimes called CMOS). There will be 3 pins sticking up probably well marked on the motherboard itself. 2 of them will have a jumper on them, the other will look lonely. You'll need to move that jumper over one spot, making the other end lonely. Here's where your motherboard manual comes in. Some motherboards want NO POWER durring this... others want you to repetively hit the power button. I usually unplug the pc for about 15 seconds first, then plug in, hit power once or twice (doesn't actually turn the pc on), then unplug, move the jumper to it's propper position and wha-la the password should be gone.
As long as you move the jumper back you'll be fine. Even if you would happen to move the wrong set of jumpers you won't hurt anything as long as it gets moved back.
Thank you

If you still cant get the bios to clear you can, with the power unplugged, remove the battery (if it isn't soldered to the board

) and put it in backwards. This would be the same effect as the jumper.
