how do you convert the ATX supply of a Compaq System to AT assuming the soft power button spoils? :(

If the Motherboard supports Dual FormFactor you would set it in the BIOS.
There should be a setting in the BIOS for either AT or ATX.

Note:The PSU(Power Supply Unit)that is in the Compaq now is know doubt an ATX PSU...not sure if you can switch that out of a Compaq to an AT PSU.
Maybe somebody else has something to say on that.

Does anything at all happen when the Power Button is pushed? Lights / Sounds?
I'd check all my connections again and even another PSU.
