I've been building a comp so that I may play the next generation games come out, and, well, they're upon us.
Config
asus a7v 333-x
athlonxp 2200
radeon 9800pro
512 pc 2100
XP Home
Well I have been building comps for awhile so @ least getting the thing put together and running is no prob. However, I see all the gaming boutiques constantly stating, "tweaked for gaming" "we get every ounce of power out of your machine"
Is this just a sales marketing ploy, or are there really things that I may tweak in the settings somewhere to maximize the performance on my computer???
Sounds logical
I'm not really talking about overclocking per se, but I have heard of some programs that can give a modest increase in performance on the video card, by turning up the clock speed a bit. I would be willing to try this, I feel I have ample cooling, But the original thought still lies in possibly some tweaks in the OS or DOS\
thanks in advance
