 Im getting this error code----> CPU is unworkable or has been changed. Please recheck - CPU SOFT MENU, everytime I boot or reboot my machine. When I hit F1 to resume it boots/runs fine. I have a Abit BD7-RAID Motherboard, an Intel Celeron Processor 1.80A GHz, 478 Pin 128KB Cache, 400 MHz FSB UP Only, and Crucial 512MB DDR 266. The settings in the soft menu are:

CPU Name Is - Intel Pentium(r) 4
CPU Internal Frequency - 1.80GHz
ECC Data Integrity Mode - Unsupport

CPU Operating Speed - 800(100)
x- Ext. Clock(CPU/AGP/PCI) - 100/66/33MHz
x- FSB Ratio (CPU:PCI) - 3:1
x- Multiplier Factor - x8
x- Memory Freq. (CPU:DRAM) - Auto
x- Speed Error Hold - Disabled

CPU Power Supply - CPU Default
x- Core Voltage - 1.525v
x- DRAM Voltage 2.5v

-Thanx-

The FSB multiplier could very well be set wrong.

Try lowering the Multiplier or you can Reset the bios w/ the jumper on the MOBO.
Go into your Manual and see where your jumpers are on your MOBO and follow the instruction for resetting the BIOS.

I could be wrong, I haven't installed a celeron in two years, but if its working at 100mh, the multiplyer should be 18. if its working at 133mh then the multiplyer should be 13.5.

Also , like Cactus said the FSB at 3:1 doesn't sound right if its running at 100 mh. It sounds logical if its running at 133. ie FSB=400

I took the CPU Operating Speed from - 800(100) to 1800(100) which in turn made the multiplier factor x18. Got rid of the error message. Now correct me if Im wrong but regardles of the settings as long as I dont mess with the voltage I wont have to worry about instabilty. Thanks for your help. :|
