Ati Radeon video card problem

Postby pxd » Wed Oct 20, 2004 6:31 am

Hi, I just got a radeon 9600 installed recently on my computer, but for some reason, the screen looks kind of blurry. I already downloaded the newest ati driver, but it still looked blurry. I didn't have this problem with the old nvidia video card I had before. Can someone please tell me what I can do, cause it is kind of hard on my eyes reading blurry texts. Thanks!

Boot into safe mode f8 and go to device manager and remove all video cards and reboot, and let it reinstall the drivers.

If that doesn't work, you could have a bad card.

Second thought, I've never seen a "blurry video card"---old monitor maybe, check to see if the monitor is securly connected to the card.

Check the video plug for a crushed pin (ouch)

Click Start, select Settings, then click Control Panel.
Double-click the Display icon and select the Settings tab.
What is the color settings at?
And what driver and monitor is listed in there?
