Adding PC's to Network for Gaming only...

Ok..here's my setup...

D-Link 4 Port Router

4 PC's connected,all on-line,and all are in the Network

2 PC's running WinXP Pro
Kid's PC running Win98SE
Game/FTP Server running Win98SE

I want to add 2-500Mhz PC's to the Network only, they don't need to connect to the internet. But I want them out in the Kids room...

Can I string the 2 PC's via Serial Port from the kids PC?

E.G.
Connect 1 to the Serial Port on their PC then connect the 2nd one to the Serial Port on that one

Just using cables...no Hub or Switch ... :|

Any advice would be greatly appreciated ...

Hmm...that's not a bad idea PCGuy...then I could solve the Network Printer problem by purchasing one with a Print Server...

I'll let you's know what route I take...

Thanks for the input everyone!!

you should get the hub , from personal exsperience it is much easyier pluggin a cord in and out to get a new ip address then having to reboot the router... or assign the ip's. just a thought :) ....

ON WITH THE MASS GAMING!...

i know this post isnt about me but i got a cool setup going in my room...

i got a 8 port hub in my room connected threw my dsl (which is running near if not equal to t1 speed) with 3 computers hooked into it ... my ps2 hooked into it (for kicking everyone a$$ in mortal kombat deception..) and i also have a few "guppies" ... what i like to call the pcs that take the brunt force of everything... i leave them open to security threats on purpose and hide my other computers from view :)
