hi,
can anyone help me... got a mobile phone (sagem v65) and an USB irda to use with my phone. the problem is that the computer (Win XP) recorgnises the irda but cannot detect the phone even though the infrared is switched on. after a while of fruitless search it says that the connection is blocked or the device has moved away. tried searching for answers on google, not much luck, any help? :oops:

Do you have any sort of personal firewall enabled in the IR? Have you definitely set the correct options in the phone? Do you definitely have line of sight?

You said you disabled your antivirus, what about a firewall (including the one that comes with windows if neccessary)...

ok didnt think of the Win XP firewall, will do that and get beck to you pronto. thanks

oh no, l did disable the firewall but stiil no communication, its telling me the port is not recorgnised. any help. l have tried out phone to phone communication in case its a phone problem but it works fine. l really do need assistance here
